hi.
i think a lot about what i surround myself with and i feel very sensitive to it all even in the littlest of ways. having too much around me makes me crazy and so i think that if i have little treasures floating around my everyday life, and they mean something to me, i will enjoy the moments of my days more ... and i honestly believe it works for me.

so this week i'll show you a few of my favorite treasures. in thinking about it, i will need 3 days for my kitchen (today is the start) and then i'll do my bedroom and living room. i'll have to get to the studio in a few weeks after i move it because it's just too crazy right now.

: : : : : : : : : : : :

the kitchen is a place where i live and breathe daily. if you know me well you know that i rise early so that i don't have to feel rushed in the morning so taking time to pour milk into the little blue creamer or scoop yogurt into a wooden bowl is a must for me.

in this photograph (larger here) the little blue creamer + tiny white Salvatore's bowl are gifts which i'll never part with while the other items are all inherited: a souffle dish from my mom + bowls, measuring cups & old cookbook from my grandmothers. the cookbook still has grandma v.'s notes in it! so wonderful.

thanks for sharing in my treasures. tomorrow more from my kitchen!
:) mav

so beautiful. i love looking at a photograph of something in my home (most likely the kitchen) and knowing that there is a story or history behind each and every item. it's definitely better than having rooms full of meaningless stuff. can't wait to see more of your beautiful treasures.

that blue creamer is so cute. so is everything in the picture. love it together with your words. your blog is one of a few i actually read. the images and words work so good together. i think it is like with music, can't really listen to both the lyrics and the music at the same time (and end up not knowing what they sing about), but sometimes there are songs when i think i get the whole picture. like with your blog.
