hi.
working weekend here; i am really enjoying the white brick walls in the studio. they make me want to keep everything in my world very stark (as if i needed more motivation for that?!).
and i spent lots of time exploring the Visites Privées: Marie Claire Maison. i just love that magazine. the bottom two small photographs here are from a charming little place they toured (photos by Philippe Garcia). the decadence of that home against my stark studio was pleasing and so i have it all paired up above.

tomorrow, i'll show you a sneak peek of the new goodies going into my shop on wednesday. i will be out of my studio starting thursday for a few days so all items ordered this week will ship early next week ... and i will be doing free shipping once again for all orders placed while i am out of my studio (may 1-5) to thank you for your patience with the shipping.

As much as I love natural brick (on buildings, the walk, or the garden), I do SO love painted brick. There's something about the look that moves me, makes me feel nostalgic.

Funny that you are talking about Marie-Claire maison... this is my favorite magazine; my birthday present this year was a one year subscription. I love waiting for my new issue each month!

I do love those red cloths. I use the same ones to wipe off glue when woodworking. There are a stack of them in my basement waiting to be used.
